Patrick first drew Bekah's attention at a Colorado Ski Patrol "convention" while wearing a shiny gold hat and pirate blouse celebrating his birthday. Through their mutual friend, Chris Kuppens, they exchanged a few words and went their separate ways until a month later they repeatedly crossed paths in Salida while working their summer gigs. Patrick finally got Bekah's number at the Fibark festival and the rest was history. Bekah will tell you she fell in love with Patrick after driving his old van over Independence pass with a couple huskies all sharing the front seat with her to go see Galactic play at the Belly Up in Aspen. Patrick and her danced all night right by the stage and slept in that old van on a neighborhood street in Aspen before driving back to Buena Vista to raft guide all day. We think Patrick may have fallen in love close to their second date when Bekah and a few other hot lady raft guides let him paddle in their boat at high water on the Arkansas River and yelled "Forward 2" at him all afternoon while he got to drink margaritas.

From moving in together for the first time during Covid in a yurt with no electricity or running water to traveling to Maui for a scuba diving vacation, smashing huge waves on the Grand Canyon, nights in cuddling with the dogs, or searching for the deep powder in Japan these two have spent the last 5 years adventuring together through the good and the bad, the fun and the difficult, the exciting and the daily grind, strengthening their bond and love for one another. They are thrilled to have their loved ones from near and far join in this joyful celebration of love and to witness their commitment to be forever partners through all the adventures to come.
